Melissa Charles is a New Jersey native and a proud Scarlet Knight; she graduated from Rutgers University with a degree in Public Administration. Melissa has enjoyed a career in service of others through civil and criminal justice work, youth & parent advocacy, public interest work and she currently works in service of people with disabilities. 

During Melissa's own wedding preparations, she realized how difficult it was to accommodate the children in her wedding party or guests with children. "We wanted our littlest loved ones and their parents to be fully present, but finding reliable event-based childcare felt nearly impossible. I created Celebration Sitters to prove that children don't have to be excluded simply because the setting is formal."
